Love always speaks. But not always with words.
This quote hung above my piano when I was a teenager. It agreed with who I was as a musician, and ultimately, why I created KC Piano Studios.
Hi, I’m Anna Jacobs, owner and lead piano teacher at KC Piano Studios. I could tell you about starting piano at age five, years of formal lessons, or teaching my first students at sixteen. But what matters most isn’t my résumé—it’s my purpose.
My purpose is to help students express themselves through music.
I started KC Piano Studios with the purpose of giving my students the ability to express themselves through the skill of playing the piano. This skill can be used to process your emotions, earn a living, or enjoy an evening with your friends.
Playing the piano becomes a lifelong voice, one that gives each student a way to express themselves, find joy, and carry music with them wherever life leads.
Music should be a safe place to express yourself. Even when it isn’t happy, it gives you a meaningful way to process and share your emotions.
Whether you want to express your faith or your love of the 80s, learning to play the piano gives you the skills to share those feelings with others.
At KC Piano Studios, we don’t teach music to chase perfection. We teach music to give students a voice.
If your goal is for yourself or your child to develop confidence, creativity, and the ability to express themselves through a universal language, then KC Piano Studios is the right place to begin.
